Oranžās Brīvdienas to hold concert and documentary screening in Valmiera
The Latvian band Oranžās Brīvdienas will host a concert and a screening of the feature-length documentary ‘Indijas Oranžās Brīvdienas’ at the ZET hall in Valmiera on October 2.
The documentary, directed by Indars Krieviņš, reflects on the band’s concert tour in India and Nepal, which took place following the death of the group’s founder and leader, Ints Ķergalvis (known as Speiss), in January 2025. The film features interviews and commentary from band members regarding their experiences during the tour.
The concert will feature the premiere of several new songs written with lyrics by Speiss, alongside well-known and older tracks from the band’s repertoire. Following the loss of their leader, mandolinist Kaspars Čakste has taken on the role of lead vocalist.
