Orao opens 3 million KM helicopter engine repair facility in Bijeljina

The Republic of Srpska government and local officials have announced several developments, highlighted by a significant industrial investment in Bijeljina. Savo Minić, President of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, inaugurated a newly adapted hall for the company ‘Orao’ in Bijeljina. The facility, valued at 3 million KM, is dedicated to the overhaul of helicopter engines.

Marko Mrkajić, acting director of ‘Orao’, and Stefan Vukićević of partner firm ‘Glotec’ noted that the facility will focus on repairing Rolls-Royce M-250 engines, with plans to expand to Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines. The company aims to complete national certification within two months and expects to begin operations on M-250 engines by December or January. ‘Orao’ currently conducts 95 percent of its business through international contracts.

Other regional activities include the commencement of roundabout construction in Prnjavor and various social and educational initiatives, such as the opening of a reconstructed elementary school in Derventa and the distribution of sports equipment in Doboj.
