Orbelín Pineda targeted by Dutch clubs Ajax and Feyenoord
Dutch Eredivisie clubs Ajax and Feyenoord are reportedly preparing formal offers for CF Monterrey midfielder Orbelín Pineda. According to Mexican journalist Willie González, both top-tier Dutch clubs have been in contact with Pineda’s agent to express interest in the 30-year-old international.
Monterrey is reportedly open to a transfer during the upcoming January window. Pineda, a 97-time Mexican international, joined Monterrey this past summer from AEK Athens for approximately eight million euros. His move to Mexico followed a successful stint in Greece, where he was named Player of the Year and won the league title.
The potential interest from Feyenoord is noted for its connection to Dennis te Kloese, the former Feyenoord general director who recently moved to Monterrey as sporting director. While the exact financial terms of any potential bid remain undisclosed, a return to European football appears increasingly likely for the midfielder.
