Orbetello police dismantle drug ring using cocaine for rent

Authorities in Orbetello have dismantled a drug trafficking operation involving three individuals operating across Orbetello, Porto Santo Stefano, and Porto Ercole. The investigation began after Carabinieri observed a street-level transaction where a suspect attempted to flee by throwing a bicycle and a package containing cocaine at officers.

A subsequent search of a residence led to the arrest of two Tunisian nationals, aged 27 and 28. Inside the home, police seized 4,520 euros in cash, 8.50 grams of cocaine, 2.15 grams of hashish, a precision scale, and packaging materials. According to the property tenant, the suspects paid rent using a combination of cash, cocaine, and groceries.
