Orbit Culture collaborates with cellist Tina Guo on new track

Swedish groove metal band Orbit Culture has released a new version of their track ‘The Path I Walk’, featuring a collaboration with renowned cellist Tina Guo. The track is part of the deluxe edition of their album ‘Death Above Life’, released on October 9 through Century Media and Sony Music.

The collaboration was a long-term goal for the band, stemming from seeing Guo perform in Stockholm in 2017. While the band had previously been cautious about incorporating outside musicians, the project moved forward after their A&R representative, Mike Gitter, facilitated the connection. The band noted that while they initially used MIDI programming with Guo’s sample library, her live performance added a level of emotion that significantly transformed the song.

The deluxe edition includes three previously unreleased tracks: ‘Nuclear God’, ‘Spiral Head’, and ‘The Form Not Meant To Be’. The release is accompanied by a music video created by Riivata Visuals and is available in various physical formats, including a 2LP artbook and a 2CD mediabook.
