Orbitals anime adventure set for September 3 Switch 2 release

The cooperative anime-style adventure game Orbitals is scheduled for release on September 3, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Developed by Shapefarm and Kepler Interactive, the title features two protagonists, Maki and Omura, who must solve space-themed puzzles to save their colony from a cosmic storm.

In preparation for the launch, a cooperative website has been released, inspired by 1980s and 1990s game manuals, which requires two players to solve puzzles simultaneously to uncover secrets about the game's world. Additionally, a pop-up store featuring exclusive products and an art gallery will open in Kyoto, Japan, from September 1 to September 9.

The game supports both local and online multiplayer, including a Global Friend Pass feature that allows players to invite friends to play. The title is noted for its retro anime aesthetic and high-quality animated cinematic sequences.
