Mami Ayukawa to perform theme songs for Orbitals
Kepler Interactive and Tokyo-based developer Shapefarm have revealed details regarding the soundtrack for Orbitals, an upcoming intergalactic co-op adventure. The game features a retro-anime inspired soundtrack designed to capture the essence of 1980s science fiction animation.
Japanese singer-songwriter Mami Ayukawa, known for her work on iconic franchises such as Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, will perform both the opening theme, ‘~Accelerating Destiny~ (加速する運命)’, and the ending theme, ‘Heart To Heart’. The opening single is currently available for streaming and purchase on major digital platforms.
Music distribution options include a 7-inch vinyl record through Laced Records, which will feature both themes along with karaoke versions on the B-side. The full digital original soundtrack is scheduled for release on September 3, coinciding with the game's launch.
