ORC Research reveals most popular Turkish politicians among youth

A recent survey conducted by ORC Araştırma in August 2026 has revealed the political figures most favored by Turkish youth aged 17 to 29. The study, which included 2,600 participants, evaluated politicians on a scale of 1 to 10 based on criteria such as trust, representation of youth, performance, communication, and future vision. Only individuals with an average score above 7.0 were included in the results.

In the category of most liked Members of Parliament, CHP Elazığ Deputy Gürsel Erol ranked first. He was followed by Yeni Parti Mersin Deputy Ali Mahir Başarır in second place, AK Party Ankara Deputy Osman Gökçek in third, MHP Kayseri Deputy Baki Ersoy in fourth, and AK Party Hatay Deputy Hüseyin Yayman in fifth.

In the category of most liked Metropolitan Mayors, Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Vahap Seçer ranked third nationally. The findings suggest that young voters prioritize leaders who maintain direct communication, offer a clear future vision, and implement youth-oriented social projects.
