Orca Bason Fund investors directed to U.S. authorities for restitution info
U.S. authorities have established a dedicated communication channel for investors in the Orca Bason Fund following the arrest of its CEO and Chief Investment Officer, Vuk Vuković. The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (Hanfa) has advised investors to contact the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York via the email address OraclumCase@usdoj.gov to inquire about their rights and potential restitution.
Vuković, the founder of Oraclum Capital, faces charges of securities fraud and wire fraud. Prosecutors allege that since at least 2024, he provided investors with monthly reports that overstated the fund's actual returns. According to court documents, the FBI stated that Vuković admitted during investigations that certain brokerage reports sent to a potential investor were not authentic, though he denied personally sending them.
Investors can use the provided contact to request inclusion on the official victim list for the case, United States v. Vukovic. While federal law provides victims with rights to restitution where applicable, authorities noted that this does not guarantee or imply that any funds have already been approved for return.
