OrcaRouter releases uncensored Qwen AI model and developer support program

OrcaRouter has released an uncensored version of Alibaba’s Qwen 3.8-27B AI model. This modified build allows users to bypass the built-in refusal behaviors of the original model, enabling it to respond to prompts that might otherwise be deemed harmful or unethical. The release is optimized for local deployment on Apple Silicon Macs and is available in various formats, including 2-bit, 4-bit, 6-bit, and 8-bit versions to accommodate different memory requirements.

The platform stated that the uncensored model is intended for developers, AI researchers, and security professionals conducting advanced testing and evaluation. An “Aggressive” variant has also been introduced to provide more direct responses across a wider spectrum of prompts.

In a separate initiative, OrcaRouter has launched the “OrcaRouter Open Source Program” to support the sustainability of open-source software (OSS) developers. Under this program, if an OSS project integrates OrcaRouter as a provider option, the developers will receive 5% of the users' usage costs in the form of credits or cash. Currently, 34 projects, including Dify and CAMEL, have joined the program.
