Orchestras in Mexico and Spain announce new concert seasons
The UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra (Ofunam) is launching its third season for 2026, which will run from September 26 to December 13 at the remodeled Sala Nezahualcóyotl. The season features various international and national guests, including Spanish conductor Andrés Salado and tenor Javier Camarena. The orchestra will also participate in the 2026 UNAM Culture Festival and the 54th Cervantino International Festival.
In Spain, the Orquesta de Córdoba is beginning its 2026-2027 season with a concert at the Teatro Góngora under the direction of Salvador Vázquez. The new season, themed ‘Transversal’, aims to break musical barriers. The opening program includes works by Brahms, Elgar, Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven. The orchestra has also announced various subscription options for its upcoming concert series.
