Orchid festivals scheduled in Várzea Paulista and Joinville

Two distinct orchid-themed events are scheduled to take place in Brazil this November.

The 19th Festa das Orquídeas in Várzea Paulista will run from November 27 to 29. Held at Praça CEU, the festival features orchid exhibitions, musical performances across various genres, and local crafts. Entry is free, though organizers encourage visitors to donate one kilogram of non-perishable food to the Social Solidarity Fund (FUSS).

In Joinville, the 86th Festa das Flores will take place from November 17 to 22 at Expoville. The event includes the II Salão Laelia Purpurata and offers free cultivation workshops where specialists teach techniques for plant health and flowering. The program also features the I Encontro de Purpurateiros, which focuses on the conservation of the Cattleya purpurata, the symbolic flower of the region.
