Ordem dos Médicos criticizes SNS 2026-28 planning framework

The Ordem dos Médicos has criticized the 2026-28 planning framework for the National Health Service (SNS), stating it falls “much short” of what is required.

The medical association argues that at a time when the SNS needs to recover capacity, increase access, and attract professionals, the current response should not involve lowering targets, limiting recruitment, or accepting stagnant activity levels.
