Order of Architects of Romania marks 25th anniversary

The Order of Architects of Romania (OAR) celebrated its 25th anniversary through regional events focused on architecture, urbanism, and historical identity.

In Suceava, the North-East branch organized a debate regarding the role of architects in urban decision-making and their collaboration with local authorities. The event featured an urban installation titled ‘Pietre de hotar’ (Boundary Stones) on the Administrative Palace esplanade to encourage public interaction with urban spaces.

In Baia Mare, the North-West branch marked the anniversary at the Maramureș County Administrative Palace. The event highlighted the rehabilitation project for the palace, a building designed by architect Mircea Alifanti in the late 1960s. The restoration, supported by European funding, aims to modernize the structure's efficiency and installations while preserving its original architectural identity.
