Ordu Aybastı Oil Wrestling Delayed by Rain; Erkan Taş Wins Title

The CW Enerji Turkey Oil Wrestling League's fifth stage, the Perşembe Yaylası event in Aybastı district of Ordu, was halted by heavy rain on 26 July. Organizers postponed the competition, rescheduling it for the following Monday to ensure athlete safety.

When the matches resumed, Antalya Büyükşehir Belediyesi athletes Erkan Taş and Mustafa Taş faced off in the başpehlivan (chief wrestler) final. Erkan Taş secured the victory, earning the title after defeating Mustafa Taş in the decisive bout. He later said he aims to defend his Kırkpınar title, thanking coaches, teammates and local officials for their support.
