Santiago Umba wins Ordu Black Sea Classic in Turkey
Santiago Umba, riding for the Solution Tech NIPPO Rali team, won the Ordu Black Sea Classic during the Tour of Ordu international cycling races in Turkey. The victory marks Umba's fourth road win of the current season.
The race covered approximately 112 to 119 kilometers, starting from Altınordu and passing through the coastal roads of Fatsa, Çatalpınar, and Kabataş before ascending to the Perşembe Plateau. The challenging course concluded at Karga Tepesi at an altitude of 1,500 meters, featuring a final stretch with an average gradient of 5.3%.
Umba secured the win with a time of 3 hours, 16 minutes, and 47 seconds, finishing seven seconds ahead of Eritrea's Awet Aman from the Istanbul Team. Kyrylo Tsarenko, also of the Solution Tech NIPPO Rali team, took third place. The event featured 17 professional teams and 119 athletes from 29 countries.
