Ordu Mayor Mehmet Hilmi Güler pushes forward major urban projects

Ordu Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler reported that the Millet Düzü Project is halfway through its structural phase, with 495 fore‑piles installed and the underground two‑story parking for 241 vehicles completed. The redevelopment will create a 5,700‑square‑metre public plaza, a restaurant, 43 shops and 14 offices, aiming to revive the city centre’s social and commercial life.

In a separate initiative, the municipality expanded its façade‑renovation programme to the districts of Akkuş, Gölköy and Ünye. About 404 buildings will receive exterior upgrades, including insulation, new paint, window repairs and modernised signage, improving both aesthetics and energy efficiency across the three towns.
