Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Black Sea Theater opens new season

The Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Black Sea Theater (OBBKT), a local institution operating since 1964, has launched its 2026-2027 season with the comedy "Yoldan Çıkan Oyun". Directed by A. Emrah Özdilek and translated into Turkish by Mehmet Ergen, the play depicts an amateur theater group attempting to stage a murder mystery set in a 1920s English mansion, resulting in comedic chaos involving forgotten lines and technical mishaps.

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler attended the premiere, praising the cast for their successful performance and noting that the production has raised the artistic bar in the region. The upcoming season is scheduled to feature a total of eight works, including two new productions and several plays for children.
