Turkish municipalities conduct field visits and inspections to address resident concerns
In Bursa, Nilüfer Municipality launched a programme of on‑site neighbourhood visits, with deputy mayors Emre Karagöz, Bukle Erman and Zerrin Güleş meeting muhtars in the Kurtuluş, Balkan, Kızılcıklı and Görükle districts. Officials inspected reported problems and coordinated with technical teams to resolve them, pledging ongoing communication with local representatives.
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality continued its 153 Çözüm Merkezi outreach by setting up a contact booth in the district of İkizce. Staff recorded citizens’ requests, suggestions and complaints, forwarding them to relevant departments and promising follow‑up feedback.
In Konya’s Cihanbeyli district, municipal police carried out a targeted operation in Yeniceoba neighbourhood after resident complaints about begging. Identified individuals were escorted out of the area, with officials stating that regular checks will be maintained to preserve public order.
