Oregon Ducks football highlights quarterback depth and future recruits

The Oregon Ducks football program continues to draw attention through its quarterback development and roster depth. Following a recent victory against the USC Trojans, head coach Dan Lanning praised backup quarterback Dylan Raiola for his readiness. Raiola entered the game after starter Dante Moore suffered a concussion and contributed two touchdown passes to secure a 41-27 win. Lanning noted that Raiola maintained a high level of preparation by participating in scout team repetitions during practice.

Looking toward future talent, Chandler High School quarterback Will Mencl has committed to join the Oregon Ducks in 2027. Mencl, a highly-rated recruit, recorded 3,815 passing yards and 33 touchdowns during his junior season at Chandler. His statistical performance has been noted for its similarities to recent successful seasons by Oregon quarterbacks such as Bo Nix.
