Oregon Ducks gear up for 2026-27 season with deep talent pool and solid spring practice

The Oregon Ducks football program, led by head coach Dan Lanning, used its spring practice to reinforce execution, discipline and depth across all three phases of the game. Coaches emphasized positional battles, gap discipline on defense and versatility on offense, aiming to shape a championship‑contending team for the 2026‑27 season.

The Ducks entered the offseason with a top‑five recruiting class and extensive additions through the transfer portal, creating depth at wide receiver, quarterback, tight end and the offensive line. Quarterback Dante Moore, who threw 32 touchdowns in 2025 and helped the team reach the CFP semifinals, is projected to lead a crowded quarterback room that also includes transfer Dylan Raiola and experienced backup Brock Thomas. The receiving corps features returning star Dakorien Moore, veteran Evan Stewart, and multiple newcomers, while the tight‑end group adds veteran Jamari Johnson and several five‑star transfers. This talent depth is expected to give Oregon the flexibility to compete at the highest level of college football.
