Oregon Extends Two‑Rod Fishing Season on Upper Willamette River

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) announced that the two‑rod validation for coho salmon fishing on the Upper Willamette River will run from August 1 through December 31, extending the previous deadline of July 31. Anglers with a validation may use two rods in all areas upstream of Willamette Falls where coho retention is allowed, except when targeting sturgeon. The validation costs $34 for residents and non‑residents, and children under 12 do not need a validation to use a second rod.
