Oregon Fires Spur Multi-Agency Response in White City and Portland

A large industrial fire broke out on Saturday night at 2645 Avenue G in White City, Oregon. Crews from Jackson County Fire District No. 3, the Medford Fire Department, and other local agencies escalated the response to a third alarm as flames spread to nearby commercial properties. By 8:40 p.m. officials announced that forward progress of the fire had been stopped, though the cause remains under investigation.

On Sunday afternoon a vacant warehouse on Northwest Naito Parkway in downtown Portland ignited, prompting Portland Fire & Rescue to issue a third‑alarm response. Firefighters conducted only exterior defensive actions because the building was deemed unsafe, and no interior firefighting took place. No injuries were reported and the cause of the blaze is still unknown. Both incidents required coordinated multi‑agency efforts and highlighted the challenges of urban industrial fires in Oregon.
