Oregon State football players provide fall camp updates

Oregon State University football players and staff provided updates during fall camp as the team prepares for upcoming scrimmages.

Offensive coordinator Mitch Dahlen highlighted the unique skill set of running back AJ Newberry, describing him as a “home run hitter” with improving pass protection. Receiver Aeryn Hampton also discussed his physical playing style. Dahlen noted that the offensive line is currently undergoing competition to determine the starting five.

On the defensive side, transfer safety TJ Crandall reported strong cohesion and communication within the defensive backfield. Crandall noted that the group is working to master a new defensive scheme and expressed optimism regarding the talent of true freshman Kai Wheaton and the potential return of Jaheim Patterson.
