Oregon State prepares to host Washington State in Pac-12 matchup

The Oregon State Beavers prepare to host the Washington State Cougars in Corvallis. Oregon State enters the matchup with a 4-2 record and a four-game winning streak, recently defeating San Diego State 66-14. The Beavers' offense has been led by quarterback Brady Atkinson and wide receiver Jesse Legree, who leads the nation with 932 receiving yards.

Washington State, currently 1-5, is undergoing a significant change at quarterback. Head coach Kirby Moore has named redshirt freshman Owen Eshelman as the starter following a period of offensive struggles. The Cougars are looking to rebound from three consecutive losses and an 0-2 start to Pac-12 play.

Oregon State head coach Jamarcus Shepherd noted the need for intensity to avoid a trap game, specifically highlighting the importance of defensive pressure on the rookie Eshelman and improving special teams consistency. Shepherd also addressed the return of former Beavers coach Trent Bray, who will serve as the Cougars' defensive coordinator.
