Orel Hershiser to Receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Orel Hershiser will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the Sports Entertainment category. The ceremony is scheduled for August 13, 2026 at 6755 Hollywood Boulevard, with former broadcaster Bob Costas serving as emcee. Guest speakers are expected to include Dodgers broadcaster Joe Davis, manager Dave Roberts, longtime Spanish‑language announcer Jaime Jarrín and current Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Hershiser, a 1988 World Series MVP and Cy Young Award winner, is celebrated for his record‑setting 59‑scoreless‑innings streak and his longtime jersey No. 55. He was inducted into the Legends of Dodger Baseball in 2023 and spent 13 of his 18 MLB seasons with the Dodgers, earning three All‑Star selections, a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger during his career.
