French clubs reshape squads in summer transfer window
Olympique de Marseille is overhauling its roster to meet DNCG financial requirements, putting twelve players on the market and targeting roughly €100 million in sales. Confirmed departures include midfielder Facundo Medina to Bayer Leverkusen for €23 million plus bonuses, goalkeeper Gerónimo Rulli to Manchester City for about €3.5 million, and defender Nayef Aguerd moving to Real Sociedad for an estimated €15 million. Additional potential income of up to €40 million is expected from these deals, while other targets such as Krépin Diatta and Haissem Hassan have been ruled out.
Paris Saint‑Germain is pursuing several reinforcements, with the most advanced negotiation centred on Spanish winger Ferran Torres, whose club FC Barcelona has set a €50 million price tag. The club is also monitoring Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and French right‑back Malo Gusto.
Rennes is in talks to re‑sign French striker Martin Terrier, a move that could compete with Marseille’s interest in the player.
Olympique Lyonnais has arranged a season‑long loan for midfielder Orel Mangala to Spanish side Getafe, with the French club covering roughly half of his €3.6 million annual salary.
