ORF announces nine finalists for Austria's most beautiful location competition

The ORF has announced the nine finalists for the 13th edition of the competition ‘9 Plätze 9 Schätze’, which aims to crown the most beautiful location in Austria for 2026. The finalists represent various regions and landmarks across the country.

Representing Upper Austria are the Hutterer Böden, which secured their spot by defeating the Wolfsschlucht Bad Kreuzen and Pöstlingberg. Other finalists include the Andau Bridge for Burgenland, Griffner Schlossberg for Carinthia, Riegersburg for Styria, Fortress Kufstein for Tyrol, Tilisuna for Vorarlberg, and Türkenschanzpark for Vienna.

Notably, Lower Austria is represented by the Rax-Seilbahn, a cable car that has operated for 100 years. The live final is scheduled for October 26, 2026, where a jury and the public will decide the winner via telephone voting.
