ORF prepares 2027 New Year’s Concert ballet production

Preparations are underway for the ORF live broadcast of the 2027 Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert, which will be conducted by Tugan Sokhiev. As part of the television event, the ORF New Year’s Concert Ballet has been filmed at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Amalienbad in Vienna.

The ballet features eleven members of the Vienna State Ballet with choreography by Andrey Kaydanovskiy. The production includes costume design by Salzburg-based artist Flora Miranda and features a collaboration with professional synchronized swimmers, including the championship-winning Alexandri sisters.
