ORF shortlists 11 acts for Eurovision 2027 selection

The Austrian broadcaster ORF has narrowed its search for a representative for the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest down to eleven acts. Following a submission period that closed on September 18, scouts Cesár Sampson and Peter Schreiber have identified the candidates who will proceed to the next stage of the internal selection process.

In early November, the shortlisted artists will participate in live auditions at the ORF Center in Küniglberg. A jury, typically composed of media experts and Eurovision fans, will evaluate the performances to provide recommendations. However, the final decision rests with ORF Program Director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz.

While the identities of the eleven acts remain undisclosed, reports suggest that at least one returning artist is among the group. This internal selection process follows Austria’s recent participation in 2026, where the artist Cosmó placed 24th.
