Organ donation of 26-year-old Emrullah Dirik saves four lives

Emrullah Dirik, a 26-year-old motorcycle courier, passed away following a nine-day struggle in intensive care after being struck by a truck in Elazığ on September 1. Following his brain death, his family made the decision to donate his organs, which provided life-saving opportunities for four different patients.

The family, originally from the Kortaş village in the Ergani district of Diyarbakır, had previously lost another child of the same age during the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. Following the funeral services in Diyarbakır, family members emphasized the importance of organ donation, describing the decision as a humanitarian duty and an effort to turn a tragedy into hope for others.
