Organ music events scheduled across Germany for 2026

Various organ music events are scheduled across Germany for late 2026. At St. Nikolai in Hamburg, the ‘Night of Churches’ will feature organist Anne Michael. The performance aims to blend historical organ music with modern technology, using light projections and lasers to create a cosmic atmosphere within the church space. The St. Nikolai organ, which underwent extensive restoration and digital expansion in 2023, is one of the largest in Northern Germany, featuring approximately 7,500 pipes.

Additionally, the Abtei Marienstatt will host the ‘Orgeltriduum’ in September 2026. This concert series features three distinct performances: Mélodie Michel from Paris will perform works ranging from Franz Liszt to Isaac Albéniz on September 6; Jan Liebermann from Munich will play pieces from Bach to Liszt on September 11; and a collaborative concert by Ute Gremmel-Geuchen and Heinz-Peter Kortmann will conclude the series on September 13.
