Organ music performances scheduled in Germany

Several organ music events are scheduled across Germany. In Leutkirch, the Förderverein Kirchenmusik St. Martin is concluding its organ matinee series on September 12. The performance features Emma Geser, Bernd Geser, and Franz Günthner, performing works by Josef Gabriel Rheinberger and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, including a clarinet concerto and Bach’s ‘Air’. Emma Geser, the city music director of Leutkirch, will participate alongside Bernd Geser, a brass instrument maker and conductor.

Additionally, Loccum Abbey will host Ukrainian organist Stanislav Yakovliev for a ‘Music for Reflection’ concert on September 6. Yakovliev, a student at the Lübeck Academy of Music, will perform a diverse program spanning three centuries. The repertoire includes works by Louis Viernes, Dietrich Buxtehude, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Hugo Distler.
