Organizational purpose drives employee wellbeing
Researchers from the Universities of Navarra, La Sabana, Harvard, and Castilla-La Mancha suggest that a strong organizational purpose can act as a driver for social wellbeing in the workplace. This is particularly relevant in the context of hybrid and remote work models, which have weakened interpersonal relationships and social dynamics since the pandemic.
A strong organizational purpose is characterized by three essential traits: it must be understood by employees, internalized as connecting to their personal values, and lived through daily actions. When these elements align, purpose serves as a cohesive tool that enhances collaboration and a sense of belonging within teams.
