Orgatec 2026 trade fair opens in Cologne

The Orgatec international trade fair for workspace and contract solutions begins in Cologne, running from October 27 to 30, 2026. Under the theme ‘From rooms to relationships: designing spaces in an ever-changing world’, the event focuses on how digitalization, hybrid work models, and sustainability are reshaping the planning and use of professional environments.

The exhibition features approximately 500 companies from around 40 countries. The event is divided into two primary segments: Workspace Solutions, covering office furniture, acoustics, lighting, and ergonomic equipment, and Contract Solutions. Highlights include a special exhibition on the Eames Pavilion System, the Architecture + Office Innovation Award, and the ‘Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival’.

According to Orgatec Director Maik Fischer, the high level of international participation and visitor registrations underscores the fair's relevance despite a challenging market environment in central European markets. For the first time, the IDD Cologne is integrated into the program, bringing interior design elements into the city center.
