Orhangazi Chamber of Commerce celebrates 100th anniversary

The Orhangazi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) celebrated its 100th anniversary with a ceremony held at the Hektaş Çiftliği meeting hall. The event honored individuals and companies that have contributed to the economic development of the district in areas such as production, investment, export, employment, R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

During the ceremony, a documentary film was screened detailing the chamber's history since its founding in 1926, tracing the economic transformation of Orhangazi from the early years of the Republic to its current industrial and commercial status.

TOBB Vice President Şekib Avdagiç highlighted Orhangazi’s significant role in the Turkish economy, noting that the district contributes over $2 billion to the national economy. He further stated that Orhangazi’s direct exports exceed $600 million, with a total foreign trade volume surpassing $1 billion when including imports.
