Tirana Police investigate leak of intimate videos involving public figures

The Tirana Police Directorate has launched a criminal investigation following the online distribution of intimate videos involving several public figures, including composer Adrian Hila. The Cybercrime Investigation Sector is working to identify IP addresses and profiles responsible for the leak, which reportedly originated from a Telegram group managed from abroad.

The investigation has been referred to the Prosecutor's Office under four criminal charges: illegal interception of computer data, interference in computer data, unlawful interference in private life, and abuse of devices. Authorities have identified eight individuals, including two men, in connection with the matter.

Adrian Hila has provided testimony to the police, admitting to installing cameras in his residence but claiming they were for security purposes following previous thefts. He stated he was unaware the footage would be distributed online. Several victims have been contacted by police; two are reported to be in severe psychological distress due to the incident.
