Oria, Italy to upgrade Polyclinic with energy‑saving renovations
In the coming days the Polyclinic in Oria, Italy, will begin a modernization and energy‑efficiency project overseen by engineer Tommaso Mininno, with construction management by engineer Fiorenzo Furone. The renovation will clean and reorganize the external access stairway, repaint the building to regional Hospitality standards, install PVC wall panels, fit fire‑rated doors, replace lighting with LED fixtures, create a multifunctional meeting/ waiting room, add new internal and external signage and fit mosquito nets.
Gabriele Argentieri, director of the Socio‑Health District No. 3, emphasized the clinic’s role in providing specialist outpatient services, a sample‑collection centre, a CUP desk, distribution of urological supplies and sterile food, a public‑health consultorio, emergency (118) response, and a dialysis unit. He noted that the upgrade, not covered by earlier PNRR community‑hospital funding, aims to expand capacity once professional resources are available.
