Orient Star announces new timepieces for 75th anniversary
Orient Star is marking its 75th anniversary with the launch of two distinct timepiece collections that represent different directions for the brand: the Orient Star Skeleton and the Sakigake design project.
The Orient Star Skeleton (Ref. RK-BR0001N) serves as a flagship model, featuring the newly developed Cal. F9B82 manual-winding movement. This skeletonized caliber is designed to express the concept of “space-time” through intricate open-work and decorative finishing. The watch boasts a 72-hour power reserve and high precision, housed in a slim 9.5mm case with a traditional Japanese “Chari Happo” goat leather strap. Due to its specialized production, it will be limited to 130 pieces globally.
In contrast, the Sakigake Three-Hand model (Ref. RK-BQ0003S) introduces a minimalist design philosophy. As the first installment of the Sakigake design project, it intentionally removes the brand’s signature power reserve indicator to achieve a cleaner aesthetic. Inspired by the curves of a Japanese bow, the case and bracelet feature an integrated design for improved comfort. It is powered by the Cal. F7542 automatic movement and is intended to represent the future standard of the brand.
