Oriental Fashion Show brings Silk Road couture to Milan

The Oriental Fashion Show returned to Milan during Milan Fashion Week on September 23, 2026, showcasing couture collections from Oman, Morocco, and Turkmenistan at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci.

Founded by Hind Joudar, the platform aims to create dialogue between different cultures through fashion. The event featured three distinct designers: Yoland from Oman, who presented the abaya through a haute couture lens inspired by the artisanal heritage of Dhofar; Khadija Chraibi of the Madrid-based house Rena, who offered a contemporary interpretation of the Moroccan caftan; and Turkmen designer Göwher Pirkułyýewa Gouvernet.

The presentation emphasized the connection between traditional craftsmanship and modern silhouettes, tracing a cultural route inspired by the Silk Road.
