Oriente Petrolero faces new FIFA debt rulings

The Bolivian football club Oriente Petrolero has received new notifications from FIFA regarding unpaid debts to former players. The club has been ordered to pay more than $110,000 in outstanding obligations, excluding interest.

Specifically, FIFA ruled that the club must pay Paraguayan midfielder Jordan Santacruz $77,773, plus a 5% annual interest rate starting in July 2026. Additionally, the club was ordered to pay Colombian attacker Joel Contreras $35,200 for unpaid wages, along with interest and other specified amounts. The resolution grants the institution 45 days from notification to fulfill these payments.

Club representatives confirmed receipt of the notifications, stating that the leadership was already aware of these claims and is making the necessary arrangements to settle the debts as soon as possible to avoid further complications.
