Origami Motion develops robotic laundry-folding device

Origami Motion, a startup based in Greeley, Colorado, has developed a robotic laundry-folding device called the Ori-Smart Dresser. The device functions by having laundry placed into a bottom compartment, which then moves the items to an upper cabinet where they are folded.

At a recent business showcase in Loveland, the company received both the ‘People’s Choice’ and ‘Most Innovative’ awards. The Ori-Smart Dresser is expected to cost approximately $2,500. The startup was founded by Eliszabeth Van, a former robotics engineer with experience at NASA and Boston Dynamics, and Katrina Hellmann, formerly of Texas Instruments.
