Original Birkin Exhibition to debut in Osaka

The “The ORIGINAL BIRKIN Exhibition” will be held in Osaka from August 21 to August 23, 2026, at the ALLU SHINSAIBASHI ANNEX. The event features the unique “Original Birkin,” a 1980s Hermès prototype actually used by actress Jane Birkin.

Valuence Japan, which acquired the item at a Sotheby’s auction in Paris in July 2025, organized the exhibition. Following previous displays in Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, and New York, this marks the first time the piece will be shown in Osaka. Semba Co., Ltd. was responsible for the design, production, and construction of the exhibition space, utilizing custom drapery and glass elements to reflect the concept of circular design.
