Orihuela expands tourism with new cultural and nature routes

The Orihuela Department of Tourism has announced an expansion of its local tourism offerings with several new routes and special programming. Key additions include the ‘Baroque Pastry’ route, which explores the city's historical gastronomic traditions through sweet tastings, and the ‘Know the Vega from the Sierra de Hurchillo’ route, designed to showcase the region's natural landscape.

The September schedule includes activities celebrating the patron saint, Nuestra Señora Virgen de Monserrate, with visits to the Sanctuary and the Orihuela Cathedral. Other cultural highlights include a sensory workshop at the Miguel Hernández House-Museum and a special route marking World Tourism Day on September 27.
