Orihuela invests 190,000 euros in new waste collection vehicles
The Orihuela City Council has added three new 3,500 kg capacity vehicles to its municipal waste collection and street cleaning fleet. The new units, which include two Renault Master L2 3500 models and one Renault Master L3 3500 equipped with a HIAB crane-octopus, were presented by Mayor Pepe Vegara and Councilor Rocío Ortuño.
This acquisition is part of a second lot in a larger machinery and vehicle renewal contract. The contract was awarded to Fruehauf Recambios S. L. for 193,540.71 euros, including VAT. The deal includes a five-year warranty and GPS systems for all three vehicles. These additions bring the total number of new units in this specific renewal process to nine.
The investment is part of a broader municipal project exceeding six million euros aimed at modernizing street cleaning and waste collection services through the progressive incorporation of new equipment.
