Orinoquía regional caucus forms unified legislative agenda

Congress members representing the Orinoquía region—including Arauca, Casanare, Meta, and Vichada—have agreed to form a unified legislative agenda to advance regional development. To facilitate this coordination, the representatives will establish the Bicameral Accidental Commission of the Orinoquía Caucus.

The group's priorities are based on the Orinoquía 2030 Forum and include six key pillars: private investment, legal certainty regarding land, multimodal transportation (air, river, land, and rail), agro-industry, environmental licensing, and gas and hydrocarbons. The caucus intends to prioritize strategic projects for the 2026–2030 National Development Plan and the National General Budget.
