Serbian company Orion Telekom plans to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure by introducing a new NVIDIA advanced computing system for the development and application of AI solutions. This infrastructure will be hosted in Serbia’s State Data Center, with operations expected to begin in the first half of 2027.

During the NVIDIA GTC conference in Berlin, NVIDIA recognized Orion Telekom as one of nine telecommunications operators globally that are developing or expanding infrastructure based on its technologies. Specifically, Orion was identified among five operators expanding existing AI infrastructure, alongside major international firms such as Deutsche Telekom, Fastweb + Vodafone, Cassava Technologies, and Kazakhtelecom.

Marko Čadež, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), noted that this international validation is a significant step for the Serbian technology industry. He stated that the positioning confirms Serbia’s potential to become a regional center for AI development and advanced digital infrastructure, allowing domestic companies to participate in complex international technological ecosystems.
