Orion180 files for $100 million IPO to expand insurance market share

Orion180 Insurance Group Inc., a provider of specialty homeowners and flood insurance, has filed a Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering. The company aims to list its Class A common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol ‘OIG’, with a target to raise up to USD 100 million.

Headquartered in Florida, Orion180 focuses on excess and surplus (E&S) home insurance, particularly in the US Southeast and high-risk coastal areas. For the twelve months ending June 30, 2026, the firm reported approximately USD 601 million in managed premiums. Financial filings indicate the company achieved a net income of $13.5 million on $80.1 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, a significant improvement from a $3 million net loss during the same period the previous year.

Upon completion of the offering, the company will have two classes of common stock. Founder and CEO Kenneth Gregg will hold the Class B shares, which will grant him significant voting power and control over the company. Lead book-running managers for the offering include RBC Capital Markets, UBS Investment Bank, and Raymond James, with additional support from Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Citizens Capital Markets, and Texas Capital Securities.
