Oris releases Aquis Date Kelp Forest Limited Edition watch

Swiss watchmaker Oris has launched the Aquis Date Kelp Forest Limited Edition, a stainless steel dive watch limited to 1,000 pieces. Developed in collaboration with award-winning underwater photographer and Oris ambassador Francis Pérez, the timepiece aims to highlight the importance of kelp forests as vital marine ecosystems and carbon absorbers.

The watch features a 41.5mm case with a 3D-printed textured green dial designed to mimic the shifting light and movement of kelp strands in underwater currents. Due to the printing process, each dial displays unique variations of light gold-green highlights. The design includes gold outlines on luminous hands and hour markers, a lime-green minute track, and a green ceramic bezel insert.

Technical specifications include a water resistance rating of 300 meters, a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a screw-down crown. The watch is powered by the automatic Oris Calibre 733 movement, which offers a 41-hour power reserve. It is fitted with a three-row stainless steel bracelet featuring a quick-release system.
