Oristano to host fifth Memorial Domenico Pittalis wheelchair basketball tournament

The fifth edition of the Memorial Domenico Pittalis wheelchair basketball tournament will take place on October 17 and 18 at the Palasport di Sa Rodia in Oristano, Italy. Organized by ASD Oristano Basket, the event commemorates the second anniversary of the passing of the tournament's founder.

Four high-level teams will compete in a round-robin format: Dinamo Lab Sassari, Asinara Waves Porto Torres, Amicacci Giulianova, and the British Premier League side Manchester Revolution. The tournament schedule includes matches between Dinamo Lab and Amicacci Giulianova on Saturday, followed by Asinara Waves against Manchester Revolution. Sunday's matches will feature Porto Torres vs. Giulianova, Dinamo Lab vs. Manchester, and Giulianova vs. Manchester, concluding with a Sardinian derby between Dinamo Lab and Asinara Waves.

Beyond the competition, the event aims to promote physical activity and social inclusion. Local students will have the opportunity to observe training sessions by Dinamo Lab and Manchester Revolution to engage directly with the athletes.
